On April 16, 2026, the Consumer Product Safety Commission issued an additional recall of the Casely Power Pod 5000mAh portable MagSafe wireless phone charger, model E33A due to risks the lithium-ion battery can overheat and ignite, posing risk of serious injury or death. This was the second recall of the Casely Power Pods, Model E33A, as Consumer Product Safety Commission previously announced a recall in April of 2025, after Casely received 51 reports of the lithium-ion battery overheating, expanding, or catching fire, and numerous burn injuries.
Since the initial recall in April of 2025, there have been 28 additional reports of the lithium-ion battery overheating, expanding, or catching fire, including numerous burn injuries and one death. In August of 2024, a 75-year-old woman suffered second and third degree burns and later died when a Casely Power Pod caught fire and exploded in her lap. In February of 2026, a 47-year-old woman was burned when the Power Pod caught fire and exploded on an airplane.
These recalls apply to about 429,000 Casely Power Pods, model E33A, sold from March 2022 to September 2024. The model number can be located on the back of the Casely Power Pod.

If you have a Casely Power Pod, Model E33A, stop using it immediately.
