On February 23, 2024, Lawdragon released the names of the 500 Leading Plaintiff Consumer Lawyers in America. Once again, Tom Brandi is on the list. He has been named to it each year since the list was created in 2007 to highlight attorneys “who’ve excelled in representing plaintiffs in individual and class action claims.”

Tom is a trial lawyer who takes on big cases
Over more than 35 years in practice, Tom Brandi has taken on big corporations and government defendants on behalf of consumers and workers in California and across the U.S.
Some of Tom’s career highlights include:
- A $1.38-billion dollar jury verdict holding Bank of America liable for misusing Social Security benefits
- 17 other trial verdicts exceeding $1 million each
- Over 50 settlements exceeding $1 million each
- Representing victims of the Dalkon Shield, a dangerous intrauterine device (IUD)
- Representing Californians injured by taking the dangerous diet drug combination Fen-Phen
It’s not the first time we’ve been told that Tom is among the best. For example, in 2016, he was named to the California Lawyers Association Trial Lawyers Hall of Fame. (Then the State Bar of California Litigation Section Trial Lawyers Hall of Fame.) Tom is among only 33 lawyers named to this list.
He has been named to the Top 100 Super Lawyers list for Northern California. He has been named one of the Best Lawyers in America. He is an elected member of the International Academy of Trial Lawyers, which is limited to only 500 attorneys worldwide
He is also an adjunct professor of Trial Practice at University of San Francisco Law School and was chosen as the Hon. Ira A. Brown Adjunct Professor of the year for 2010- 2011.
